Trevor Hall Announcing New Tour Dates!
Trevor Hall is leaving California once again and will be hitting the South and Mid-West and (maybe) coming to a town near you starting this Monday April 7th. He will be performing with the incredible Colbie Caillat in Orlando FL, Russelville AR, New Orleans (the day after Jazz Fest), Austin TX, Tulsa OK, Covington KY, Des Moines IA and Omaha NE.
Trevor will also be headlining shows in Chicago, Greencastle, IN, Dallas TX, Denver, Boulder and will be performing at the Sunsation Festival at the Copper Mountain Resort in Breckenridge, CO and just might be sitting in with Matisyahu later that day at the fest – if you are there you do not want to miss that!
Then in Sewanee, TN and Due West, SC Trevor will be opening shows for the fabulous Sister Hazel. The details for all these shows are listed on Trevor’s website and at myspace.com/trevorhall now. Plus there will be some additional shows posted soon. So save the dates because we would love to see you out there on the road and tickets are going fast. Lots of love from everyone in the camp!

A Letter From Trevor Hall

I just scheduled a last minute show at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah for this coming Monday (1/21) at the Synchronized Green Initiative Music Series @ The Side Car Bar, 333 Main Street in Park City and it is a FREE show (21+) – lots of great bands performing there. This coming Wednesday (1/23) I will be back in LA at The Derby – this will be an awesome show – come on down!!!! It will be the last LA show before I go out with Colbie Caillat again in California, Colorado and one show in Salt Lake. After the Colbie shows I will be touring up and down the east coast with The Wailers starting February 20th all the way down to the Langerado Festival in Florida on 3/8. Hope to see you on the road!

This Wednesday, Jan. 9th, I will be playing a show in Los Angeles with a good friend of mine...Mr. Samuel Markus. I go on around 8:30 and my friend Sam goes on around 11 PM.
Wednesday, Jan. 9th is also the appearance day of His Holiness Emperor Haile Selassie I Jah Rastafari. We will be singing some special songs in honor of His Holiness.

Trevor Hall Benefit Concert

A benefit concert for the orphan children of the Yoga Vedanta Kutir in Allahabad, India. This concert is being put on by Trevor himself and all proceeds will benefit the children in India.
Dearest Friends...
In January, I was very blessed to have had the chance to travel to India. I stayed in many beautiful temples and ashrams and met many wonderful yogis and saints. During my stay in Allahabad at the Kumbha Mela, I was blessed to have stayed at the Yoga Vedanta Kutir, My Grandfather Guru's ashram. In the ashram, I had the privilige of meeting "the ashram boys" which consisted of 5 or 6 young boys between the ages of 5 and 14. These boys were the most divine little boys I have ever met. They served so selflessly around the ashram, taught me the game of cricket, showed me their yoga postures, and sang chants with me. I learned that all of these boys were orphans at one time or another, and the head of the ashram took them in, cleaned them up, taught them yoga, and sent them to school. When leaving the ashram, I couldn't help but shed tears while saying good bye to the boys. They touched my heart in so many ways.
After returning from India, the idea of doing something for them kept occuring in my mind. Now that I have enough time, I am putting on a benefit concert for these boys in Laguna Beach on June 22nd at 8PM. All proceeds will benefit their education, clothing, food, etc. We will have a silent auction, snaks, books, incense all available for purchase.
Whoever could attend, I would appreciate it so so so much. It would not only mean so much to me, but also to the boys and the head of the ashram in India. Please tell as many people as you know.

We need your help
Who is great at shooting video?
We are looking for cool people come out and shoot parts of each show and interviews with fans and the band. We want it to be fun and creative. If you are selected you will get tickets and a backstage pass. We have a camera if you don't want to use yours and if you can't edit the footage we'll take care of that too. You will be credited for all footage we use on the web. So check out the cities I'm playing in and let us know. This should be a blast.

Lucky, Talented and Young!
If he wasn't lucky enough to be blessed with ample songwriting and guitar skills, Hilton Head, SC-born Trevor Hall got to blow off high school to live it up at a performing arts school in Palm Springs. We wish we had such hip parents! While out in the sun, Hall fell in with a slew of international students, through whom he became enchanted with Indian music, and the spirit as a songwriting subject. "Before I got into spirits, most of my songs were about breaking up and high school problems," he laughs. "Now I try to use them to describe spirits as best I can." Now 19 and based in the O.C., Hall caught the ear of talents scouts while gigging in L.A. His debut full-length, At the Top of the Mountain, is due in late summer from Geffen, which has previewed the disc with the four-song The Rascals Have Returned, which conjures a rootsier, earthier Dave Matthews.

TREVOR HALL TEAMS WITH MATISYAHU FOR U.S. CLUB TOUR
Geffen recording artist Trevor Hall is making his national club tour debut in style, launching a month-long series of dates opening for reggae sensation Matisyahu. He will also share the bill with the Wailers on a few dates, as well as headlining a pair of gigs in New York and Los Angeles (see below for complete itinerary). Matisyahu met Trevor in Sundance, UT, and was so impressed with the dynamic 19-year-old singer/songwriter, he invited Trevor to open for him on several key dates.
The tour gets underway just as Trevor's new Geffen EP "The Rascals Have Returned" is released. Produced by John Alagia (Dave Mathews, Liz Phair, Jason Mraz) and written by Trevor, the EP weaves folk, hip-hop and reggae influences into a rootsy acoustic-centered style. Guest musicians like drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty) and bassist Sean Hurley join Trevor on the four tracks. The EP comes on the heels of Trevor's Geffen EP released last year and recorded live in concert in Los Angeles. That recording was Trevor's first major label release following his 2004 indie debut "Lace Up Your Shoes," also produced by Alagia. Trevor is currently working on his full length Geffen CD, due later this year
Despite his young age, Trevor is a veteran performer, having launched his career at 15. A native of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Trevor started writing at age 14, inspired by artists like Ben Harper as well as legends Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. After relocating to Southern California, Trevor spent last summer touring with Steel Pulse and went on to open for Ben Harper, Jason Mraz, G-Love and Donavon Frankenreiter. Trevor will be out on the road much of 2006, having already co-headlined with artists like Keb Mo and the Wailers.

Gimme Shelter
For the second year in a row, Trevor will perform at KCRW’s Gimme Shelter benefit event at the Roxy in W. Hollywood, CA on December 12th. All Aboard Rosie's Family Cruise
Trevor song “On This Train” which will appear on his new Geffen EP is in the soundtrack of the independent documentary “All Aboard Rosie’s Family Cruise.” Rosie O’Donnell was the executive producer of this documentary which chronicles the first-ever cruise for gay and lesbian families. The filmmakers traveled with 500 families on the maiden voyage of Kelli and Rosie O’Donnell’s Family Vacations. The eight-day cruise aboard the Norwegian Dawn sailed from New York City on July 11, 2004 with stops at Cape Canaveral, Key West, a private island in the Bahamas, and Nassau. Kelli and Rosie O’Donnell and their four children joined families from across the nation to create a floating community. On the ship the families could freely express themselves and gain solidarity with one another. This cinema verite film portrays the intricacies of family life that include strong family values as well as the struggle to overcome adversity The documentary also includes songs from Paul Simon, Lyle Lovett, Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, Celine Dion, B52s, Willie Nelson, Irving Berlin, Stephern Sondheim and many others.

Trevor In The Studio
Trevor is currently in the recording studio finishing up his debut Geffen album which is being produced by John Alagia. Last year John produced Trevor’s indy LP “Lace Up Your Shoes.” This time around the songs and recordings have a more organic and rootsy sensibility featuring an incredible array of musicians including percussionist Leon Mobley (from Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, drummers Kenny Aronoff, Joey Waronker, bassist Sean Hurley and Rusty Logsden (Eels) on haromonium. Mike Kudirka, Trevor’s guitar teacher from high school (Idyllwild School for the Performing Arts) sat in on a couple of songs. Also recording on the album are new bandmates Ben Jacobs on bass and percussionist Jah-Amen Mobley. The CD is due to be released in April however an EP featuring a highlights from the CD and re-mastered versions of two recordings from “Lace Up Your Shoes” is due out by the first of the year.

Surfing America
During the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Chanpionships in Huntington Beach, Quiksilver threw a bash for all participating surfers from around the world. Trevor performed during the festivities along with his band. They also performed at the SIMA Waterman’s Ball environmental benefit event in October which raised money for Surfrider and other ocean related charities. Trevor is also a supporting artist of the USA Surf Team which is part of Surfing America, the national governing body of surfing in the United States. surfingamerica.org

Steel Pulse Reunion
On October 10th, Trevor re-united with Steel Pulse in San Francisco at The Independent. After touring the summer of 2004 together, this time along with his new band, Trevor performed some new songs along with the old and tore it up. SP guitarist Moonie sat in on “All Stoned Up” which was a favorite to the very receptive crowd.

Rainforest Action Network
On October 7th Trevor and his band performed at a RAN benefit honoring Andre Carothers, founder and executive director of Rockwood Leadership Program rockwoodleadership.org and Dr. Owens Wiwa, brother of executed activist Ken Saro-Wiwa. Highlighting the evening were inspired speeches by Andre and Owens along with RAN founder Randy Hayes. Bonnie Raitt a member of RAN showed her support on the big screen with a videotaped message and after Trevor performed, Tea Leaf Green played a set along with special guest Bob Weir.
